How it Works

The idea of Freshly Grown was born out of the need for organic produce, but only being able to find them at selected markets that are out of the way and only open on certain days. The days that we would rather be sleeping in!

We wanted to change that for the average person and make good, clean food more accessible. So now you can shop for all of your organic needs online and we will deliver it straight to your doorstep!

Did you know that not only is organic produce packed full of flavour and nutrients but is also better for the environment? Organic farming methods are done without the use of pesticides and nasty chemicals and farming is also sustainable.

The majority of our produce is sourced from small local growers, so not only are we keeping our carbon footprint low, we are also putting money back into our communities, and helping to grow small business.

At Freshly Grown, we work closely with an organisation, PGS South Africa, who supports small farmers in growing food organically and obtaining certification. We have a close relationship with our farmers and regularly join the PGS on farm visits when farmers undergo their annual inspections to ensure they are following organic farming principles. This gives you the piece of mind that when we say ‘organic’ , it means just that!
